Regulamento

  • IMPORTANT: All participants must be university students, from any university, and they will need to demonstrate this by filling in their institutional e-mail from their university later in this form;
  • There is a limit of 15 teams of 3 members each in the contest. After submitting this form, an email will be sent to every member of the team verifying whether your team is registered in the competition or in the wait list. Leave at least one of your phone numbers so you can be contacted if a slot in the competition becomes available. Being registered and not appearing in the contest will result in a loss of points on each of the team member's profile in the SINF website;
  • The contest will take place in person at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, room B215, using HackerRank. The HackerRank accounts that will be used in the contest will be provided to each team in person by the staff before the beginning of the contest.
  • Please make sure your team brings one computer (only one computer per team will be allowed);
  • The competition will take place on 27th October at 14:00h and will last 3 hours;
  • The teams will be ranked by the amount of exercises that are solved. In the event of a tie, the teams will be ranked by the sum of the times of the first correct submission on each exercise that was solved. There will be a 20 minute penalty for each wrong submission on problems that are eventually solved;
  • Sheets of paper and pens will be provided for each team during the competition;
  • Any attempt to copy code from the internet or from another team is strictly prohibited;
  • If a team doesn't comply to all the rules above it will be disqualified before, during or after the contest, resulting in the loss of points on each of the team member's profile in the SINF website;
  • The prizes for the contest are three 100€ FNAC cards, three 75€ FNAC and three 50€ FNAC cards for the teams in the first, second and third place at the end of the contest respectively;
  • The prizes will be awarded during the in person SINF closing session on 31st October at 17:00h. The teams must be present to receive their prize.
